Lors de son discours à l’inauguration du Salon de l’Agriculture, le président Emmanuel Macron a appelé à la création d’un « plan de sobriété » sur la question de l’eau. Il a notamment évoqué la nécessité d’une meilleure gestion des eaux usées et de l’irrigation, ainsi que le recyclage des eaux usées.
Le ministre de la Transition écologique Christophe Béchu avait déjà annoncé que des mesures de restrictions « soft » seraient mises en place dès le 27 février 2023 pour éviter des situations catastrophiques cet été. Cette annonce intervient après un hiver sans pluie ou presque, qui a entraîné une situation préoccupante des nappes phréatiques.
Selon Info Sécheresse, 32 départements sont à un niveau très bas en termes de niveaux de nappes phréatiques, avec une situation particulièrement inquiétante dans le centre du pays. Seuls deux départements, le Tarn et le Tarn-et-Garonne, sont à un « niveau modérément haut », tandis que la Seine-et-Marne, les Hautes-Alpes, les Pyrénées-Atlantiques et les Hautes-Pyrénées sont à un « niveau proche de la moyenne ».
La pluviométrie des trois prochains mois (mars, avril, mai) sera déterminante pour la situation. Les prévisions laissent présager de la pluie pour le début de la semaine prochaine, mais il est important de rester vigilants quant à la gestion de cette ressource de plus en plus rare.
Face à cette situation, il est donc important de prendre des mesures de restriction et de faire preuve de sobriété dans nos pratiques. Nous devons tous être conscients de l’importance de l’eau et de la nécessité de la préserver. La France doit se doter d’une véritable planification pour mieux gérer cette ressource vitale.
